Roger took over the running of SGM in 2009 when the original owner retired. He originally trained as an agricultural engineer but moved to the horticultural side in 2003. He has extensive knowledge of all types of garden machinery and will be able to advise you on selecting what’s right for you.
Richard joined SGM in 2005. He has over 20 years of horticultural engineering and is our Workshop Manager. He has extensive knowledge of all types of machinery and is often found helping out in the shop during busy periods. He like Roger can help with answering all your garden machinery needs. Dan joined SGM in 2013 as an Apprentice and has been with us over 10 years now and is highly knowledgable. He is also our expert robo mower salesman and installer. Melissa joined SGM in 2009 when Roger took over. As a husband and wife team she works in the office and does all the paperwork. It is her voice you will probably hear first when calling in.

Simon joined us in 2024 and is our delivery driver/onsite mechanic. He is very friendly and always tries to help out where he can. He is the man you will see when we need to collect and deliver your machines.
Gini joined us in 2025. She works with us part time in the office and does all the administrative tasks. She likes to hide in the office where it's warm. You might not see her but you'll always hear her voice on the phone.
Tom joined us in 2025 as an apprentice. He is learning the trade and does the smaller jobs at the moment. He also makes a good cup of tea.
Andrea worked for us in our other shop since 2022. When we sold it she decided to join us in Salisbury and has been here since February 2026. She works part time and on the days she is working you will find her in the shop ready to greet you and deal with your enquiries.
